Viyada was widowed when her son Tonkla was still a baby. She worked as a diplomat and they traveled a lot. When Tonkla grew up Viyada decided to settle in Bangkok so her son can enter one of prestigious English speaking universities. Tonkla contradicted her and enrolled to study engineering in university upcountry.

Tonkla had no idea what he wanted to do with his life when he met Tid who studied law. Tid had a clear purpose, to graduate and go back to help his hometown.  Watdao is a girl with a goal to better rural agriculture. Her friend Saisuep a closet transsexual also agriculture students was following her ideal.  Saisuep confided in Watdao that he liked Tonklau but Rarin, the most popular girl on the campus liked Tonkla too.

Watdao was forming organization to help rural areas. To be legitimate, organization needed 10 members minimum. Watdao invited Tonkla to join and Tonkla’s life had a purpose for the first time. 

Viyada was not happy with her son’s choices in life. She saw add for “The Only One” program and sent application in Tonkla’s name. He was accepted and now Tonkla must decide….
